Caring, Capable and Confident Students!  Students in Los Alamitos Unified continue to thrive in Academics, Athletics, Activities, and the Arts due to highly skilled and talented teachers and staff, visionary leadership from our Board of Education, excellent parent and community support, and our commitment to ongoing improvement, and innovation. Los Al students are among the highest-achieving students in the County and State with local and national championships in band, drumline, choir, song, drama, robotics, and E-sports. Our completion rates of college entrance requirements and Advanced Placement courses continue to increase and are among the top in the county. We celebrated 12 Sunset League Championships and CIF Championships in Girls Volleyball and Cheer. Our dedicated team is student-centered in their daily approach to ensure each student is valued, healthy, safe, and engaged in rigorous learning. Whether it’s a hand shake as students enter the classroom or a helping hand on campus, all adults assume the responsibility to connect with young people. These connections help our students develop into caring, capable, and confident young people with a strong foundation of self-efficacy. Additionally, our students are connected to school and the community more than ever before with the addition of numerous clubs, leadership groups, service learning groups, and club athletic teams.

Our motto, Igniting Unlimited Possibilities, ensures our students discover their special talents, transform them into goals for their futures, and graduate fully prepared to achieve these goals. We encourage students to dream big and to achieve these dreams! As a unified school district, students receive a well-articulated, rich, and a robust program from pre-school through high school and beyond. We have the joy and pride of witnessing the culminating results of our entire District Community’s efforts by the accomplishments of our Griffin graduates. Los Al is a great place to learn and thrive!

We are Los Al Proud!
